AI accuracy and limitations
Aamey's AI advisor is a powerful tool, but it has real limitations you should be aware of. Understanding them helps you use it most effectively.
Known limitations
- Not medical advice — the AI cannot diagnose skin conditions like eczema, rosacea, or contact dermatitis. Always see a dermatologist for medical concerns.
- Ingredient data freshness — product formulations can change; always verify the ingredient list on the product page, especially for allergens.
- Hallucination risk — like all large language models, the AI can occasionally state something confidently that is incorrect. Cross-check important claims.
- No order access — the AI cannot see your past purchases, shipping status, or payment information.
Data and privacy
Your beauty profile (skin type, concerns, ingredient flags) is sent to the AI to personalize responses. Your biometric (face geometry) data is never sent to the AI model or to Anthropic. Chat history is stored on Aamey servers as described in our Privacy Policy.
